Amphibians are frogs, toads, newts, salamanders and caecilians.
Caecilians are worm-like and live underground in South America, South Asia and Africa. Because they live underground, scientists don't much about their diet or other habits.
There are approximately 6500 species of amphibians and many are listed as endangered. In the last few decades, some amphibians have become extinct. Keeping water clean is important and will help amphibians and other wild life.
Erik and I are working on this page and will post more photos and information soon. We're out looking for amphibians so we can take their picture! ~Courtney
